The Nation Of Israel: Our Election By God

A favorite kid's Bible song goes like this:

Father Abraham had many sons,
Many sons had father Abraham,
I am one of them and so are you,
So let's all praise the Lord.

It's a great song but just who are Abraham's sons?

God chose man named Abraham and promised him that his descendants would as numerous as the stars in the sky. Abraham had a son named Isaac, who had a son named Jacob. God changed Jacob's name to Israel, and he had 12 sons. The descendants of those 12 sons became known as the nation if Israel. They eventually settled in a land that God promised to give them but are removed from the land twice in history. The second time was by the Romans in 70 A.D. The Jewish people were kept away from the land for the next 1878 years but beginning in 1948, Jews reclaimed their homeland once more and Jews from all around the world began returning to Israel.

Does their physical return to the land somehow have anything to do with our spiritual return to God? This next message, The Nation Of Israel, answers this very important question.
